According to the recommendation, you should aim to walk 30 to 60 minutes with your heart rate somewhere between 95-133 beats per minute throughout the entire workout.

If this sounds too difficult for you, don't panic. Simply cut those minutes into blocks. It may be easier for you to walk on your treadmill three times a day for ten minutes. The most important thing is that you try to walk every day, or as many days as you can out of the week and to keep your heart rate in that 50-70 percent zone during your workouts.

When it does, that's the sign to step it up a notch because your maximum heart rate has increased. Keeping your heart rate within 60 to 70 percent of your new maximum heart rate will keep your cardiovascular system and fitness level increasing, too.
